David Seymour looked like a prize clown today after quoting 25% of free lunches were being wasted on RNZ Checkpoint - when the Ministry of Education reported that food wastage on the free lunches program initially was 12% and has halved to only 6%.
Seymour who had been arrogantly demanding robust statistical comparisons then resorted to an anecdote ( hypocrite ) - citing an email received today ( from an Act Supporter ) who reported they had a volunteer group who picks up unopened lunches and distributes them to the elderly and needy in town but even they did not like the lunches cos they were low quality.
"What an arrogant prick" breathed an organic punga into a microphone.
"He has no evidence to back his own claims", muttered a flax bush who was sick of hypocritical jerks like Seymour.
"Wasteful spending" warbled a majestical Tui before yelling "YEAH RIGHT" and flying off to peck at David Seymour.
"Seymour faced fairly stiff opposition in media rounds this morning but typically dismissed all studies that he disagreed with." - said G from G News, "He's selectively demanding a higher standard of proof than he demands of his own claims".
“Karma is never fooled by the lies of a manipulative person.” - said Monty wrestling with a toy rabbit.
Speaking of hypocrisy Nicola Willis ( Former Atlas Network Think tank director ) said her new increased rego taxes were not taxes but fees...which was pretty rich after she called management fees on GST - a GST Tax...and there' s many more examples like the "UTE Tax" ( discount /subsidy ) and the "Fuel tax" ( an excise ). Never mind we expect the hypocrisy from Willis.
"It can't be a broken promise when we did not talk about it during the campaign," laughed Chris Bishop smugly.
Some folk are still annoyed at Luxon allowing hungry kids to possibly have their lunches denied by Seymour - to save the taxpayer money - while Luxon gets a $48,000 PA allowance ( rent) paid for by the taxpayer - for the Botany Electorate building he owns like a landlord.
What the actual?
Yes Mr "I am entitled" is a shocker and cannot read the room.
Gerry had a shocker in parliament today demanding everyone making a point of order needed to quote the standing order associated with that point of order - but when challenged by Chris Hipkins to name the standing order Gerry was using himself - to make his own rulings - Gerry got the numbers wrong.
Face palm. Wow.
As per usual Gerry was talked over by National MPs and the whole place was a one sided madhouse as media looked the other way - especially at the NZ Herald.
Nobody Reading this is Gerry Brownlee !!!
Hooray.
Anna pointed out to Nicola Willis on TVNZ Breakfast that she can't even get her press documents correct about how much total revenue she will raise in a year from the surprise road registration fees - and Willis admitted the Nats got the numbers wrong and it was a big mistake.
Now it seems Act are going to pilot the populist Military style academy thing in mid 2024 - but we all know it's a bloody waste of time and money based on truckloads of evidence - but this new government refuses to listen to evidence as it tries policies that have been proven not to work effectively.
Annette Sykes reckoned there's beein heaps of organising going on since Waitangi Day so if David Seymour and the Neoliberals think they are just going to extinguish Tino Rangatiratanga - think again Davy boy.
I am reading rave reviews about Dune 2 - with some saying it's the film of the year and the character played by former Elvis actor - Austin Butler is up there with the best of villains.
Might have to go watch that soon.
I've had an eye infection - which is why I seem more one eyed than usual - and I've been administering drops to settle it down - but it looks pretty angry as if I smoked too much weed on the left side of my brain only.
It's Vicki and my wedding anniversary today - so we had a big hug and I played Little River Band "Happy Anniversary Baby" loud this morning. We got married on a beach here in 2016 - and we moved to this island four years ago. Thanks for all your well wishes - it's been a very happy marriage so far.
I've gotta go collect Vicki from work, the kitchen is clean and the Monty has drifted off to sleep under the bed - have a pleasant evening.
