It was hard to know where to start, when Christopher Luxon, blurted back at journalists that, "I am entitled", and somewhere in the background Pink Floyd played, about the pig stain on your fat chin, keep on digging - down in a pig bin - as New Zealanders tried to comprehend how such a person could be seriously blithering about how New Zealand taxpayers were not an ATM while he swallowed 52,000 clams on top of his $471,000 salary.
"Mr Seven Houses is short of cash", muttered an organic punga watching the gravy splashing on the floor.
"First PM in 34 years to be so greedy", said a Flax Bush lighting up his pipe.
"WASTEFUL SPENDING" warbled a majestical Tui before yelling "YEAH RIGHT" and flying off to peck at Nicola Willis.
"Ordinary MPs only get a $31,000 living allowance which seems a fair amount but the PM gets $52,000, so I think that's about four grand more than the minimum wage", said G from G News.
"There is no greater distaste than greed.", said Monty pouncing on the sharp end of the point.
Yes in perspective this was a man disconnected from those he chides - the poor bottom feeders - and how they need to take some responsibility and accept a drop in income to fund tax cuts for landlords.
"You've got to get to know him", said Jessica.
"He's really nice", swooned Andrea.
Truth was - it was as if Luxon had all the compassion of a Frank Bank bent on extracting the very last drop of entitlement for it's coffers while happily running people out onto the street in a pandemic.
"Banks made a killing out of the pandemic", said a flax bush - holding his breath and looking quietly smashed out.
"That's what I call the high ground", said an organic punga smirking at the irony.
In other news I was proud to stand on the high ground with everyone else who was appalled at the Governments absolute commitment to the Tobacco Industry to repeal Smoke Free legislation - at the expense of 8,000 lives, $5 Billion in Health costs, and providing $1.5 Billion in tax revenue ( to fund those tax cuts ).
I had come across the fact American Tobacco is a member of the NZ Institute along with a second Tobacco company which means these suckers likely fund both Atlas think tanks - not just the Taxpayers Union.
Despite all of these measures to cut jobs, bring austerity to the poor and get rid of so many people out of their jobs - Willis is still down talking the possibility of staying on target for a small surplus in late 2027 - muttering to Australian press that she's not optimistic.
It's been another shocking week with the Three Headed Taniwha from hell moving at speed under urgency to meet an arbitrary milestone - while rushing through the end of the Māori Health Authority two days before a hearing at the Waitangi Tribunal.
Such a disgraceful insult to our finest people. How dare they do this for ridiculous ideological reasons driven by the NZ Initiative.
The Opposition is coming out swinging as media pause and look around wondering if they should report that - and usually the coverage is - the day after - but who can forget Chlöe's speech and Chris Hipkins smashed past Maureen Pugh - who Audrey awarded the Brick Bat for being a lobotomised wombat and interrupting Chippy's flow.
"Why the hell aren't you angry?" - damned straight Chippy.
"You are the bad guys", hell yes Chlōe.
We all agreed - this Government sucks hard like leprosy all over your face.
Nobody reading this is Gerry Brownlee!!!
Hooray !!!
Shayne Currie is gossiping like the ugly kid next door about how NewsHub had a secret meeting a week ago with TVNZ begging them to allow its Newsroom to do some of the back room stories - and you know - share the love around comrade?
But TVNZ stiffened it's back like it had just seen the threat of a dividend and it made up something polite about too much risk sorry old bean. So Newshub went away all filthy - and Glen Kyne threw a big whambulance tanty at other media about TVNZ.
It's best to get it all out Glen.
TVNZ rolled it's eyes and said grow up Glen. Go to your room.
Melissa Lee had a complete shocker this week - like a space cadet from Planet "Farked if I care" - where there is zero empathy and sub compassion temperatures. I don't know all the details but she was glib saying there were plenty of other media outlets...and I imagined her poking a bear in a cage with a stick.
I can't even begin to describe the shambles Gerry has allowed Parliament to descend down to and can only imagine Grant privately thinking get me the hell out of here as he admires his colleagues. They have been heroic this week.
Plenty of other crap happened like a sudden batting collapse in the cricket and somewhere on an Island out in the Gulf a man typed about the way a study in America highlighted how the fossil fuel industry used - the third party PR technique - of paying economic consultants - to delay climate action - because it's always too expensive so delay delay.
"All models are wrong, some are useful", said a sign on the wall.
Nobody much cared but you did - cos the same model has been happening in New Zealand - and well - it's Friday and we all know a bit more about Atlas now.
Nick Rockell had his bog post pulled at a Labour site and media made a point of asking the Labour people about it. It's good to be real - I mean Mitchell was over there in Iraq and appears to be all too ready to take credit and be admired for it.
Me? I have to go clean up the kitchen and go to Countdown, pick up the groceries and collect Vicki - yeah and it's Friday night.
Hope you have a beautiful evening.
