G News - The good news

The Public Service has been leaking like a democratic hero as it rages against the Atlas Network machine and Populist pork barrel politics of the Three Headed Taniwha - by feeding our news media with the inside oil that we the public would never otherwise know if some folk did not take matters into their own hands and stand for something - like this is wrong its got to be stopped.

The news today is one of the leakers ( heroes ) no longer works at the Ministry of Health after they spilt the goods on Casey Costello - who had requested advice on freezing the annual increase in tobacco tax.

Instead of awarding the whistle blower hero a medal they got the sack and we now listen to grim faced mutterings about the importance of impartiality ( remember the war ) and a neutral Public Service.

Other leaks you have already heard about include leaking from Treasury which revealed the dodgy Three Headed Taniwha was slipping around without regulatory impact statements because it had very sneakily and quietly suspended them, looking back over it's shoulder in a dark alley.

"They really hate evidence about impacts", said an organic punga standing on conservation land.

"Like thieves in the night", said a Flax Bush, remembering the old forests plundered and the species made extinct by extractives industries.

"We voted for Change", warbled a majestical Tui before yelling "Yeah Right" and flying off to peck at Shane Jones.

"Almost six months in a leaky boat", said G from G News, "That was their mistake and I hope I never get to see them again, if history never repeats and it's just a shark attack".

Monty was not amused at the blatant Split Enz references which made G sound incoherent - one toke over the line, sweet Jeezus.

"None of the main issues humanity is facing will be solved without access to information", said Monty wishing he was old enough to go outside.

Still more leaks happened like the leak of the draft documents on the Treaty principles Bill over at the Department of Justice - where it woke up the nation - how Act was slipping this through by saying "all NZers had tino rangatiratanga over their land and possessions" - you know a distortion of the meaning of Article two and what "New Zealanders" meant in 1840.

Then there was the leaked cabinet papers - like the leak about the Three Headed Taniwha allowing more overseas investors to "build to rent" by snapping up huge areas of land and putting a tiny shed on it. Some said maybe - that was Wintson leaking - but you cannot say that - cos he is very sensitive - however this a cabinet paper so who has access to those? Somebody who leaked it did.

The other leaked cabinet paper was about Fair Pay Agreements and maybe that was leaked from MBIE ...who knows?

In other news - Chippy appeared on The Platform and there was some curiosity about him doing that - but he interviewed very well - especially given the way Plunket twists things. In particular Chippy made distinctions about the beginning of the pandemic when Labour stormed to victory - and the end of the pandemic, where National surfed in of the canvassed resentment of those who suffered from the "emergency powers" and the lengthy cost of living crisis.

Naturally Plunket stabbed Chippy in the back afterwards like a cheap shot - ( see Hosking with Jacinda ) - but Chippy had stepped up and shown he will not run. Ironically Jenna Lynch said nobody was listening to Chippy based only upon the fact nobody is listening to politics in general right now. You know how these reporters make up a cool story.

Nobody Reading this is Gerry Brownlee !!!

Hooray !!!

RIP Efeso.

Efeso is a massive loss and we are all grieving and thinking of his family and how there's lots of tributes flowing cos he was a great man. I will leave it there for now.

Ginny bothered Mr Plod by asking if he kept an account of those he killed in Iraq - which caused Chippy to say Ginny had stepped over a line. There's some things we do not discuss about backgrounds - I suppose or all of parliament would descend into scandal...and what would Andrea Vance write about then?

In seperate news about that TVNZ Poll I laughed my flip top head off when Oliver Sean Plunket said that TPM's rise to close to 4% was about a 2% rise so it fell within the margin for error of 3.1%.

OMG and Plunket made out TVNZ did not know what they were talking about while it was Plunket who did not realise how the margin of error gets smaller the further away you get from 50%. Like it's probably true TPM rose by close to 2%.

This was a classic case on left brained Dunning Kruger dummy Plunket thinking he knew everything and unlike the right hemisphere of our brains ( which is able to be wrong and puts things in context ), Plunket just thought he was correct and lashed out as if that was no real increase at all.

More Sinister was the way Plunket pointed out that Maiki was maori - to his audience. A brief look at comments made on The Platform suggests that some of the readership think Labour will not be back for generations because they think Labour only speaks to 15% of the population ( aka Maori ). The same folk talk about things being "shoved down their throats"..you get the drift.

They say they are not racists and it's the woke who label them so.

Gordon Campbell wrote an excellent article on the default position regarding Luxon - which he said was - what evidence does he have for his Claims? Worth a read.

As you know the Atlas Network are slowly privatising Infrastructure, finding new funding, borrowing ...while Willis hides the details of the spending till March 27 - and then finally we get the Budget at the end of May.

Grant resigned - wow what a hero who got us through that economic shock.

I watched that T20 Cricket Game last night between Aussie and the BlackCaps - OMG ( holy shit balls ) so close but yet so far.

Monty just knocked over a flower pot so I have to go, and do a 70% job ( as husbands do ) of cleaning it up and then going to get Vicki from work ( expert at these matters ).

Have a lovely evening.
