G News - The good news

Christopher Luxon is okay with poor kids, maybe with brain damage and mental health issues getting no background report as they go before a judge - and being sentenced to longer, harsher sentences - if it saves a few bucks after National, Act and NZ First held a cabinet meeting today.

There was no Cabinet Paper nor impact analysis because right wing governments are know alls who judge things all the time without advice and they knew it all - and Luxon said there was a cottage industry growing around writing reports so he was going to cut that.

No need for impacts nor understanding, pay for justice or do the time.

Rich kids can afford the reports so they will likely get lighter sentences as Luxon says his target is reducing crime not lowering prison populations.

Luxon said there's about 2000 Prison beds waiting as Claire Trevett asked when he is going to crack down on gangs?

Luxon said his incredible team are working incredibly hard actioning and powering and driving things through, so watch this space for gang patch bans that do not work, non consorting and firearm prohibition legislation.

"What an incredible A Hole", said an Organic Punga

"What an incredibly bad outcome", reflected a Flax Bush

"We'll have targets, so many targets" warbled a majestical Tui before yelling "YEAH RIGHT" and flying off to peck at Paul Goldsmith.

"Justice, reparation and recidivism are not Luxon's strong points along with empathy and being clear", said G from G News, understating the diabolical.

In other news, Luxon has definitely shat a brick after Waitangi and was showing a fake brave face today about what an incredible time he had and how he had three take aways from the incredible experience.

1. ) Luxon can't believe people get together and talk about things - and he challenged us to name anywhere else in the world where people talk when they disagree?

2. ) Who cares and 3.) ditto.

The fact was Luxon was gaslighting the press gallery today pretending he had not altered his language after he nearly spat the dummy and threatened to walk out before his speech at Waitangi - read the whole recycled, patronising spin and then departed as fast as possible as predicted.

Now he was throwing in "we will not support Act's Bill" on the end of "no intention to support it, no commitment to support it" and the Press were pissed off - cos he had definitely suddenly altered the language - and this suggests National had a massive melt down behind the scenes after a really traumatic experience.

So looks like Seymour is on his own after National suffered too much damage - and folded.

Luxon started speaking as leader of the national party as he threw Seymour under the bus after his terrible Waitangi experience.

Nobody Reading this is Gerry Brownlee !!!

Hooray !!!

Luxon's spin reached new levels of sick toady as he boasted about how incredible everything is and used the same old lies about why unemployment has risen to 4%.

Luxon lied through his corporate teeth that the previous government has driven up domestic inflation because of an 84% increase in Government Spending when the Reserve Bank had said major drivers domestically - were a super hot construction industry, supply line delays and transport costs and more recently - rates and rents increases.

The dishonesty went unchallenged and we do not pay journalists enough to get these things challenged.

The point was made that Mike Smith's court case where the Supreme Court overturned the Court of Appeal so he can sue seven large polluters in NZ is before the courts so Luxon could not comment much about that.

However Luxon repeated the Nat BS about the ETS doing most of the Climate Emissions reduction heavy lifting and how he did not believe in corporate welfare - like actually reducing emissions.

Another beautiful day here on Waiheke and we cranked up the BBQ yesterday and the steaks Vicki's Dad bought over turned out okay if I say so myself.

Gotta dash now...but hope you have a lovely evening
