G News - the good news

Yesterday Luxon did a "Porky Pig" about the evidence - that his tweaked Three Strikes legislation will reduce crime - and when pushed about this, Luxon did a massive hospital pass to get that hot potato out of his hands.

This morning Luxon took evasion to new heights on all channels as he deflected to talking points to try and circumvent answering the same question.

As has been noted Luxon will have a stab at answering if boxed into a corner by a persistent interviewer - and that's where the custard pie smashes into his chubby chops - where there is no evidence Three Strikes works and Neoliberals never leave the ideological beast.

"Last thing I remember he was running for the door", said an organic punga, "He had to get advice back from where he'd been before"

"Good Night said democracy, he is programmed to deceive", said a Flax Bush strumming a banjo.

"You can Bullshit us all you like, but you'll never be believed", the two plants sang together in perfect harmony.

"Welcome to the evidence in California", sang the entire forest.

"Such a lovely fake", warbled a majestical Tui, before cutting the crap and yelling "YEAH RIGHT" and flying off to peck at Luxon's script writer.

"It was like diabolical", said G from G News, "It just makes a mockery of the role of Prime Minister".

"The selling of the Zombie idea", said Monty bringing focus back to the reality. This was a neoliberal agenda from the Atlas Network that everybody who paid attention knew did not work.

We are all waiting around to hear what the High Court decide tomorrow after the big wigs had a clash about Karen attending the Waitangi Tribunal to "please explain".

Luxon tried to hide behind sub judice with LLoyd this morning but that was rubbish cos Luxon could talk about his ministers ill-considered remarks and lack of coalition discipline.

After trying to escape and wriggling like a manic chicken in a straight jacket - Luxon virtually admitted he has let Jones and Seymour off the hook about their previous "ill advised" comments - and yesterday Seymour doubled down on how he did not believe his comments about the Waitangi Tribunal were "ill-considered".

Clearly Luxon has egg on his face ...if that was ever not the case.

Chippy was 100% correct that Luxon was too weak to bring these pompous, arrogant scoundrels to heel - as they danced around him like Squirrel Nutkin and the Giant Pumpkin Head Five Fingered God of Porn.

There's no point in the NZ Herald pom pom team of Claire, Fran, Audrey and Thomas doing high kicks for Luxon's leadership if he keeps on deflating like a wet rubber balloon like this.

Farting noises as Luxon speeds around the ceiling and lands in the rubbish bin.

Nobody reading this is Gerry Brownlee !!!

Hooray !!!

In other news the Justice Select Committee is hearing submissions about how the neoliberal failed policy to ban gang patches is likely to cause unintended consequences.

You've got the Law Society expressing a desire to get rid of this bad proposed law - "back to the drawing board", you've got issues with the Bill of Rights and Freedom of Association and unintended consequences, you've got the Free Speech Union and the Human Rights Commission concerned about how this Bill might be implemented and how it disproportionately impacts Māori.

I listened to Denis O'Reilly make the distinction between putting down the patch and always being part of the Black Power whānau.

In some places gangs are family and that is how many folk who used to wear a patch see it.

The mindless Neoliberal, bespectacled ferret known as Paul Goldsmith is already suggesting there won't be any facts taken onboard by his Government - by saying he did not think Gangs will change the intended law.

There's disquiet about that Te Papa Treaty exhibit being taken down - cos the spray painted English version makes a bold political statement about how we've been led to focus on that version more than Te Tiriti.

Act is keen to scrap Winter Grazing rules for Farmers in the first RMA amendment Bill - which is basically about how resource consent applications wouldn't need to demonstrate activities followed the National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management. There is more too like - bugger the significant natural areas and just kill everything again in rivers of mud.

It's what we voted for apparently, once again Neoliberal ideology over science.

There was a 4.6 level Earthquake, 4km southeast of Taupo earlier today - at a depth of 38km which caused a light shake for many.

On Tuesday, Aussie PM Anthony Albanese hit out at Elon Musk - calling him an "arrogant billionaire" for pushing back against the Australian government's calls to take down the content on X about the stabbing of an Assyrian church bishop.

Musk took the "censorship" angle while Alby said "We'll do what's necessary to take on this arrogant billionaire who thinks he's above the law but also above common decency."

After all your soup recipes last night on G News - we are having soup for dinner tonight. The amazing co-incidence is Vicki was gonna make the exact same recipe I quoted to her off the G News page...anyway ...you know how meaningful co-incidence and synchronicity abound in life.

Must be how all things are interconnected ...can't wait for that soup ...
