Penny Simmonds wasn’t going to increase funding to maintain support for disabled people and their families “because the Government’s coffers are not an endless open pit” she told reporters with her chin out - shortly after mega landlords had grabbed those lovely tax cuts and bathed in the fountains of free cash allocated to their bulging coffers.

Ah the priorities as the Property Investors got a return on their massive election donations.

Next minute some carers have written they are going to take their own lives - because they get no time out and now no respite and there is no way out.

Yet Luxon and Willis were all set to double down along with Penny Simmonds on the need to crush those carers under their austerity jackboots.

The "we care deeply" line was being polished up again, like it had been about pushing 7,000 more children into poverty by 2028 and cancer patients who are expected to work 10 hours a week, not to mention the children of unruly tenants who will booted onto the streets.

Who doesn't love Luxon teaching us to suck eggs over rights - on one hand and then ...shock horror...responsibilities with the other while he says "We care deeply" as he grabs that $52,000 with both hands and makes a stash with seven houses.

The backlash over the filthy rich attacking the carers of the disabled has been so great - and the disgust so deep from the Cape to the Bluff, that it has finally shown up on an Atlas Network focus group survey and advisors have rushed to tell Nicola Willis that sticking the boot into the disabled and taking away their tiny bit of relief and support - as well as their wheelchairs - was possibly a sick move made by sick people who parrot how "we care deeply" when actions speak louder than propaganda.

This was worse than robbing starving kids of free school lunches.

The advice seemed to be that "This could be bad for the party vote and the popularity of Luxon and Willis - so for purely selfish reasons - best you do something about it."

Well if something is going to get Willis off her backside it's a slip in the party vote - because as long as there's a 10% gap between National and Labour it's fine to punish the poor...but this might be a step too far.

After avoiding the question posed by Chris Hipkins in parliament yesterday, Christopher Luxon eventually got Luxon to say that the Ministry had made the decision to change the eligibility for disabled support requirements - because it was "an area of pressure".

Passing the blame onto the Ministry would have worked nicely for the heartless neoliberals but Chris Hipkins continued to ask if Penny Simmonds ( the heartless Minister ) had sought additional funding before that decision was made, and Luxon needed Gerry to misuse his powers as Speaker and allow Luxon to hide behind " a different process". Chippy fought on bravely - fighting speakers rulings as well as for some bloody answers - and in the end ...Luxon had to simply disagree rather than give a straight answer.

That is who National Voters proudly voted for.

Luxon blew it all off and rushed off to deny, duck and weave - before making offensive self promotional videos where he points down at you on his FaceBook Page like he's some hip hop God in a suit.

Today confusion reigns as disabled people read one thing on a Ministry website and hear another from the hopeless National led government - who have caused terrible anxiety and as mentioned - are pushing people close to the edge.

Willis has finally asked for a briefing from Simmonds to make it look like somebody has to intervene with a Minister lost at sea...and its Willis' job now to apply the lippy, smile sweetly and tra la la nothing to see here ...etc all if fine move along.

This appalling botch up skidded by unnoticed for many in Remuera and won't make it to Audrey's brickbat, but it was just another episode in the ongoing story - with Police pay negotiations stalled, the greedy Premier House Debacle, the sidestepping of every law we have to protect endangered species, the raping of mana from Te Tiriti by Seymour, the trampling of good taste by Winston and the cold dead eyes as they lie about the economy to your face.

Punching well below the belt was one thing but this was also punching down hard on the most vulnerable who were already at breaking point - and making no apology as the neoliberal psychopaths ran the asylum ...and people longed for the days of Labour - when Jacinda, Grant and Chippy saw us through...and looked after people in your street.

If you find yourself using strong words like "I hate" it's because you love your fellow kiwis so much and hate the way they are being abused by these ugly cretins.

They are waging a war on the poor again.

And they make no apology.

There's no more words for this ...but maybe you have something to say about it...as I sit here in silence again ...staring at the photo of my long passed mother and her parents ...and reflecting on what New Zealand has come to.
