Still toking Saturday with G

As you all have known for quite some time now countries like the UK and the US and Australia and Canada and New Zealand have networks of think tanks in them - clustered about right wing political parties, shaping headlines and usually with names like institute, Initiative, centre or union - you get the drift.

It's nothing new - but it is now alarming when you realise you are witnessing in New Zealand a situation remarkably alike to the rise of Boris The Bozo in 2019 when Boris the Bozo became the PM of Britain and his cabinet was stacked with 14 alumni of IEA Initiatives.

As you already know IEA is the Institute for Economic Affairs in Britain and there are counterparts in the US, Aussie and other places like New Zealand where it's called the New Zealand Initiative.

Yes they managed to get Boris the Bozo to lead them and stacked the cabinet table with these Atlas Network style robots - the most right wing government in British post world war two history.

Well the IEA robots are all schooled in limiting the scope of governments to allow democracy to threaten BIG OIL and BIG TOBACCO and they use privatisation to break down threats as they capture governments and shrink the state.

The NZ Initiative is the local economic chapter of this "radical economic think tank network" you know funded by Atlas - and it appeared on the home page of the Atlas Network website before the page was pulled...some time ago...

Anyway even the wallpaper knows that this cosy little think tank consisting of 70 of NZ's largest companies was formed in 2012 by the merger of the New Zealand Business Roundtable (NZBR) and the New Zealand Institute. According to the Initiative’s Annual Report 2016, the combined revenue of its members equals a quarter of the New Zealand economy. Whatever.

As you know NZ Initiative agents are everywhere - especially over at Newscrap ZB...

Anyway here is the rub, we've all been talking about the Smirking Twerker and his links to the Atlas Network - but there is more and it starts with Luxon's inner circle.

The inner circle are the group of nine who got together at those Waiheke Retreats during the election campaign - folks like John Key, Nicola Willis, Chris Bishop, Paul Goldsmith, Cameron Burrows, Gareth Hollins, and Matt Burgess - yes that's only seven and the other two were Jasmine and Simon the facebook guy ( Te Puke ).

Anyway cool story - Matt Burgess was Bill English's economic adviser and he is also ex NZ Initiative - specialising in Climate Change non action and the ETS excuse.

Now I ain't sayn he's a gold digger but our boy Luxon has been over at the Policy Exchange in London running down our public service and promising to shrink our government just like Boris the Bozo did - cos we lost our mojo - in fact these Atlas think tank people think they are levers moving the world off the shoulders of Atlas and when there's a crisis we will adopt the ideas that are lying around.

So yes the "after crisis ideas lying around" after Covid in NZ were that the Government had taken the Maori thing too far with He Pua Pua and that the Government caused inflation, that the crime and school absences were the fault of bad parenting and idleness and somehow Jacinda and Chippy people were breeding a woke rights culture that eroded liberty and fostered that lazy idle slack thing ...like me, toking here, on a Saturday - or maybe 15,000 public servants - especially those backroom communications people.

Sounding more and more like the policies of the new Nats this Atlas Network template - a Bozo at the top surrounded by a cabinet full of Atlas Network alumni.

The NZ Initiative influence of the Atlas Network was working in Luxon's ear and all this time we'd been thinking this was all the fault of Alan Gibbs - which I will get to next, but I wanted to start with this.

The New Zealand Initiative promotes the deregulation of New Zealand's restrictions on overseas investors, which is why we all saw Nicola Willis ( Dad big oil ) who as you know - served on the Boards of Export NZ and the New Zealand Initiative - promoting that tax on foreign buyers that Winston blocked - you know the selling off of top end real estate in NZ to fund the tax cuts. Nicola was only following the Atlas network template and the NZ Initiative cookie cutter...

Anyway as per usual we take a small break to read the following small paragraph of mind numbing information about how this stuff is tied up together with ACT :

From Wiki : Alan Gibbs also founded the Centre for Independent Studies in New Zealand and was an active member of the New Zealand Business Roundtable. He is a member of the Mont Pelerin Society, founded by the Austrian economist Friedrich Hayek. Gibbs was active in the establishment of ACT New Zealand, a libertarian political party that was formed in 1994.

So - most people researching the Atlas Network reckon that the Mont Pelerin Society in the real HQ of the Atlas Network and Gibbs as you know is a major massive sponsor of David Seymour's Act Party via all his old connections.

So right now you are thinking when will I mention Debbi - Alan's daughter, well I was getting around to it but first let us remember that today, as I write this, on Saturday afternoon an Atlas Network inititiative has published it's poll on the 10th of the month telling us that it's golden boy - David Seymour ( Atlas Network alumni ) has grown even more popular.

" The Act party and its leader David Seymour appear to have reaped the dividends of a heated Waitangi Day period, rocketing up to 13.7 per cent in the latest Taxpayers’ Union-Curia poll." said Claire Trevett after praising Luxon for "punching back".

Now what you should be thinking if you were me, would be that - the Atlas Network have set up a polling company to tell us the good news about their agent and how you should get onboard while all you people who believe in the real meaning of the Treaty should feel like you are going backwards. That's their message to depower you and knock you off your perch.

The news tonight will be Act and National could govern alone and Labour has gone backwards ( by a ridiculously tiny amount ) but it's all BS - Atlas is talking to us.

Right back to Debbi, daughter of Alan Gibbs - who I think hangs out mostly on the edge of Lake Loso in a magnificent house outa New Jersey. Debbi - moved to New York from Aotearoa about 21 years ago and she managed some big bands like the Foos - like super bands - and you get the picture - Dad was blimmen rich after buying up Telecom with David Richwhite ( how apt ) - so Debbi had a few more opportunities than most and she took em with both hands.

Anyway word from Debbi herself is that she is cruising along on a couple of directorships on boards - and one of those Boards just happens to be the Atlas Network.

Wow what a small world - as if Dad's Mont Pelerin Society membership really helped out there.

So Debbi is up the top of all that crap happening here.

There's only so much toking we can do - before it all starts coming together and we suddenly see that the Three Headed Taniwha is two parts Atlas Network and one part pork belly Big Tobacco ( Winston ) ...and no wonder two heads are using all the influence of advertising, PR and persuasion ( like the Taxpayers Union relationship with the NZ Herald political team ) to keep on top after that shocking week at Waitangi.
