As per usual human feelings of frustration that those in power are not listening - just will not do - and this morning the pom pom team at the NZ Herald and media in general are aghast that Julie Anne Genter walked over the floor in the debating Chamber and waved a chart at Matt Doocey who was sitting smugly in his seat.
This was about Genter trying to convey the information on her chart after Doocey got on her wick by seemingly ignoring the facts about Transport.
Gerry Brownlee stormed back into the Chamber like a cannon ball to deal with the matter and Julie Anne apologised while Green leaders said it was not okay for Julie Anne to behave that way.
Suddenly National MPs became scarred victims of abuse and trembled with fear and intimidation as if they feared for their safety and needed oxygen.
Not since the last time human feelings were displayed in the House have so many pearls been clutched by folks in Remuera - the same ones who don't give a stuff about what is happening in Gaza and who frankly hate protestors making any sort of noise about it.
"We are outraged and demand a privileges hearing to lead TVNZ 1 News for at least three nights", said somebody on NewsCrap ZB.
Ironically James Shaw had just been saying we've gotta all get past the partisan BS in this place if we are to solve the big issues - but the curl on Simeon Brown's lip told the story that the Nats will be prosecuting this matter like it was a war crime.
The display of human feelings of frustration probably affects those with empathy more than it does the cold psychopathic conservative or neoliberal - who simply does not care - so putting up with watching the destruction of everything you value - eventually plays on the sanity of the empaths - and it's probably normal to feel emotions about that.
However - as we all know we have to suppress these feelings and allow the destruction to continue and remain in out seats watching passively as if nothing is wrong - if we want to be part of the House of Parliament.
Rules are rules for a reason - just like good manners - and now Julie Anne Genter will be dragged through - probably days of headlines and scolding and hate over on NewsCrap ZB and on the Platform and other hater media.
They do not like the Greens - but long for them to see sense and just join with National to help them destroy things, especially the hopes of the bottom feeder wage slaves.
Poor poor Matt Doocey - one wonders how he will cope after having a chart waved at him and Julie Anne raising her voice...like she cared about Transport facts.
No excuse is the thing.
Come on G - stick the boot in.
Tear down the wall.
Yes - I know, however, some of the theatre being overplayed here is about how this Government is out of power according to two recent polls and deep down - the Nats know they are on the ropes and sinking, dragged down by Seymour and Winston.
So of course Gerry is going to lash out and the Nats will grasp any straw to stop them drowning.
Meanwhile outside parliament - real people have far greater problems - like those with obligations who just lost their jobs thanks to Nicola Willis and her troop of robotic apes.
The Nats do not give a crap and their words are hollow and fake when they say they sympathise and care deeply - my foot they do.
So who amongst us has not felt anger, frustration and exasperation when the smug ones carry out the damage to the vulnerable with glee?
It's not surprising that eventually day after day, week after week, month after month of keeping the fizz in the bottle under a tight cork - that one day - that cork will pop and feelings will foam out and about just for a while.
Only human - and let's face it - female MPs get a good kicking for their part in our political system - and once the eagle eye of the NZME machine singles one out - they are in for the pile on.
Yes - I agree Julie Anne should have stayed in her seat or taken her feelings outside and now must go through the BS from the nation wreckers - but I can understand the root causes of such frustrations for empaths.
It's not like we'd feel good if a Nat did the same thing in return so in the end Julie Anne messed up.
But I can understand why.
What do you think?
